27 years I’ve been a member… and you can’t even give me the same benefits, that I currently have. Splitting my benefits, its basically half what I have now. Looks like it’s time to shop around, so much for loyalty.

Really poor service and attitude from the Perth team.I changed my policy to a higher level with them a while ago and then I tried to finally claim and found out I couldn’t, because they haven’t updated the system. I have since spent hours trying to sort it out on the phone and online. Thinking I was getting somewhere with the complaints team, they decided not to call me back. Hbf had paid the provider and not me, after sending Hbf the invoice I had already paid the provider in full. Which I notify them about and no phone call back again.After about 10 different phone calls and online chats I was left extremely frustrated to the point that I am going to change health insurance providers.A combination of HBF team members changing their stories or not knowing the rules, giving attitude and matching wits with me has lead me to believe this company does not care about its customers.After getting nowhere it has taken 3 & 1/2 weeks to get to a point where I am finally getting the refund, which I was originally told I would get. As if they are doing me a huge favour.Sometimes spending hours on the phone and online chats you would think compensation for the customer would be a fair option? Not HBF, all you get is a bad attitude from Stephanie and no phone call that was promised from the manager called Guy. Who might contact me next week but is very busy with meetings.Think again if you think you will get a decent service from these guys. If the complaints department is anything to go by, I would just take your business elsewhere.

I can’t say enough about this insurer, I like many others have had to watch my money and find savings somewhere, I had to down grade my cover, I was waiting for the hard sell to discourage me from doing so but received nothing but polite, helpful and non judgemental service no questions just did what I asked

Called the phone centre today, took a long time before it was answered, all in all, 4.38 minutes before speaking to a person, the call took 17.45 minutes.The young lady that tried to assist me did not know what an endocrinologist was , eventually she found them under physicians, when I asked for a list to be emailed to me, I was advised it was not possible as the computer system could not handle the request.She mentioned that it could be posted to me, however, she seemed somewhat reluctant to do this and I had to be a bit forceful before she agreed to do so.I think that HBF should take note that a computer system that cannot handle a PDF been sent by email does not belong in the 21st century, HBF needs to wake up to itself and grow up.

Always been satisfied with their health insurance, however, they lose 4 stars purely as a result of those atrocious singing quokka adds. The only ad campaign that's turned me away from a brand, ever.

HBF gets how to look after you in special situations. My son was suffering terribly due to podiatric issues..other providers just closed doors. Only HBF listened and made it happen. If i could give 10 stars they desrve it

Have been a member over 10yrs now this year all my benefits were reduced to just about nothing have had major dental on for ova 10yrs this year needed to use it only to get back under 300 was a kick there also the add says use it how you want you can't you only get a sub of 200 and as massage and acupuncture are combined only get 4 uses per year so disappointing so the other 600 just sits there unused

I’m be been with HBF since 2008. My son now needs $9000 worth of work. They will cover $1600. We have the correct dental cover. Emailed and messaged and just being ignored . What is the point. Will be changing providers.

appalling to say the least....your manager-member-engagement" who is supposed to be contacted when nothing happens 3days after your automated email is not attended to does NOT even bother to return calls or answer emails...in fact all you get is another automated email telling you to contact the same person....when you call the call centre you get different answers from different operators...HBF then choose the answer they feel suits the situation regardless of what you have been told....the problem is referred to "member's services advisor team leader manager" where it is carefully swept under the carpet and you are told the problem has been solved and to "move-on"...meanwhile you are no further advanced as to exactly what cover you have because your query "which operator do I believe????" remains unanswered.VERY convenient for HBF when it comes to defining your cover when payout time comes......but hey "it's non profit" don't forget....just how legit is this sort of service??????pay peanuts get monkies ??????????"
